Practice Changes / Upcoming Meets at Jenks

BTW Swimmers,

As we wrap up our competitive season, one that has been full of challenges, but still a lot of successes, please note the following practice changes. We will use this schedule through January 31st.

Varsity

Monday: 6:00 - 8:00 AM
Tuesday: 6:30 - 8:00 AM
Wednesday: 7:30 - 10:30 AM
Thursday: 6:00 - 8:00 AM

Monday: 4:00 - 5:30 PM
Tuesday: 4:00 - 5:30 PM
Thursday: 4:00 - 5:30 PM

Intercession Break (1/18 - 1/21)

Varsity will practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 AM. There will be no JV practice. We will no longer do combined practices, so we can further limit the number of athletes in the pool area. We will announce our February schedule closer to the end of the month once TPS and BTW Administration finalize back to in-person learning plans.

Upcoming Meets

Frontier Conference: Saturday, January 16th.
- This meet is for Varsity and selected JV swimmers. JV swimmers that will be attending will be notified by Coach Adina.
- Swimmers will be required to provide their own transportation to and from this meet.
- Please see the calendar on SwimTopia for important information for this meet, as the format has changed to a 2 session (girls and boys) meet. Additionally, BTW is responsible for providing 2 timers for each session, signups are available online. Jenks will require spectators to pre-register, and the meet will be livestreamed. Both links are available in the meet information on the website meets calendar.
Jenks Invitational: Saturday, January 23rd.
- This meet is for Varsity and selected JV swimmers. JV swimmers that will be attending will be notified by Coach Adina.
- Swimmers will be required to provide their own transportation to and from this meet.
- Please see the calendar on SwimTopia for important information for this meet, as the format has changed to a one day, 3 session (girls, boys and finals) meet. We do not have confirmation that we will need to provide timers for each session, but we have set up job sign ups for each session just in case. We would recommend signing up on the spector list just in case you are not required to time. Jenks will require spectators to pre-register, and the meet will be livestreamed. Both links are available in the meet information on the website.
Regionals (February 5th & 6th) and State (February 19th & 20th)
- We are still waiting on information regarding the status and format for Regionals and State meets.

As a reminder, as we enter these last few weeks of competition, it's important that all of our swimmers and swim families do their best to stay healthy. Please try and limit your non-household and non-swim team contacts as much as possible, particularly in the 10 days preceding regionals (scheduled for February 5th and 6th).
