From the Coaches

• If swimmers want to swim during 7th hour, they are able to do so (coach will have small sets available for them) 
  • Coach V will stay until 4 with any kids who want to get in a full hour of swimming. That goes for this week and next week until spring break starts. Practice is not mandatory or required. It’s just to give those who want a some exercise, a chance. 
• All swimmers have been sent invites via email to join the Booker T Washington Swim GoSwim TV team.
  • This is a platform that will allow coaches to send videos of the worlds greatest swimmers demonstrating drills/strokes/technique to them.  It will be used in practice as well. It's free, so they all need to accept the invite please. 
• I have also set up with TPS a Hudl account for our swimmers. 
  • This is for them to have meet film, and video of them swimming for review.  It does make it easier to send highlights to college coaches for the athletes! This App also allows us to communicate with the athletes as well (similar to groupme/remind 101 apps)  It is also free, and we just need them to follow the following link to complete the sign up - some swimmers have already done this. When it asks for your jersey number they can just enter their Parka number (if they don't have a parka just enter 00)

From the Booster Club

• Thank you to all who attended the ROKA give-back night last week. We are trying to schedule one for March, and another is already scheduled for April.
• We are seeking officer positions of Vice President and Secretary for the 2023 - 2024 year. Vice President, which also serves as President-elect, therefore meaning a two year commitment, and Secretary. If you are interested in either of these positions and would like more information, please reach out to one of this year's officers: Kevin Mitchell, Stephanie Mitchell, Erica Irvine or Sharon Catalano. Officers for the 2023 - 2024 school year will be elected at the final Swim Booster Club meeting of the year, held at the year-end banquet.
