- Weight Training will begin on Wednesday, swimmers will need to make sure that they have appropriate lifting gear/attire (shorts, leggings, t-shirt, tennis shoes) BTW has completed the new Aux Weight room that is located directly next to the pool. This is a huge win for our program! I have partnered with BTW and we have gained access to this facility. Wednesday we will begin the learning process, over the next few week the swimmers will begin a swim specific weight training program - this will continue throughout next year as well!!! Practice times won't change from what they have been.
- Monday - Polo/swim
- Tuesday -Weights
- Wednesday - Weights
- Thursday - polo/swim
- Friday - Study hall
- Summer Training:
I am pleased to announce that this summer I have partnered with the Jenks Swim Club. Swimmers that wish to train over the summer will be directed to join the Jenks Swim Club. I have been asked to join the Jenks Coaching Staff for the summer as well! There is simply no better place for our athletes to train over the summer. All you have to do is go online and complete the registration - all registration questions will need to be directed to the Jenks Club - (there is nothing different because we are with BTW) I can answer a lot of the questions however there is a chance I will have to direct you to the Jenks staff.- General Info:
- Monthly Cost: 130.00/month (no contract so you can go month to month)
- USA Swimming Registration (this is your insurance fee) (Yearly fee): approx $80.00 (there is a Flex membership option but it has restrictions to how many meets you can swim per year its approx $40.00)
- (*Prices are subject to change, and are determined by the Jenks Swim Club)
- Practice Schedule: Jenks has multiple practice options both in the Morning and afternoon/evening & on Saturday's this will allow swimmers to have a very flexible summer!
- TImeline for Summer Training - we as a BTW High School will be training all the way to the last day of school and will begin BTW training the first day of school the Jenks Club option is meant to fill the summer gap. However, if swimmers would like to stay involved with the Jenks Club past summer that is no issue - we have several swimmers that do that now! (I encourage it!)
- We have several swimmers that currently swim for Jenks Club year round, if your swimmers have questions I'm sure that one of their teammates would be happy and answer questions as well.
- As our Team grows in ability, strength, and speed the need for training on a year round basis becomes necessary, if your swimmers have goals of swimming in college year round training is vital!

- General Info:

- I will speak more about this at the Banquet this week as well as field questions!
