    From the Coaches

    • The coaches are very proud of the team and how well they did in Ft. Gibson!
    • Practice this week will be normal schedule until 5:15 on M-W and F.
    • Home meet on Thursday night. Swimmers will stay at school until the meet so plan to send food.
    • Please make sure your swimmers have extra gear to get through the season. 
    • I have team caps and will distribute this week. 

    From the Booster Club

    • IMPORTANT Update regarding this week's home meet.
      • Due to the number of teams invited and committed to this Thursday's meet, there will be a total of 150 swimmers. Our pool capacity is 259. When adding coaches, officials and our volunteers, that takes our total number on deck to approximately 190 people. That leaves us with about 69 slots for spectators. With the large number of swimmers from outside BTW, we are going to offer these spots to our visiting schools first. There are a total of 25 volunteer positions for BTW parents. As of today, being a volunteer is the only way that you will be able to attend the meet. Spectators of visiting schools will have first choice to sign up to attend. We will look at the numbers Wednesday night and see about opening seats to BTW families. An email will go out later this week if things change.
      • We will be swimming in all 8 lanes - there will be no cool down lanes this week for swimmers. This means we need an additional 4 timers.
      • The following volunteer positions are currently open: 1 head timer, 7 timers, 2 - 3 officials, 1 concessions sales.
      • We are also looking for donations for concessions sales. If you are signing up to bring items, if you are not volunteering, we ask that you drop them off at the pool around 4:45.
    • Update to Senior Night - Due to the large numbers for Thursday, we will be moving Senior Night to the Hornet Invitation on January 18th
    • We are looking into possibly live streaming the meet for this Thursday. Stay tuned for more details on that.

    • The Mitchell's will be hosting this year's first pasta party on November 15th at 6:00 (2405 E 24th St) This is a swimmer only event. The host will be providing all the pasta and sauce; we ask that parents sign up on the Meets & Events page to bring all other items.
    • If anyone in your family has a yahoo email address (or aol), please let us know. We have been having some issues with Swimtopia and Yahoo and are working to resolve them. We would like to know how many people this affects. If someone in your family has a yahoo email address and hasn't been receiving the weekly emails, have them check their junk/spam folders.
    • Spirit Wear Store is open! These items are being sold school-wide, including socks. In order for the socks order to happen we need at least 12 of each size sock (S, M, L and XL).
