    BTW Swimmer's Weekly - December 10, 2023

    From the Coaches

    • Swimmer of the Week will go out next week as there were only 23 kids at practice on Friday.
    • Normal practice this week with a meet on Tuesday in Bartlesville. All swimmers who are not injured and are eligible will be going. We must be on the bus and ready to roll at 1:30. I will call for swimmers to be dismissed at 1:10. Please get to the pool quickly, get your stuff and get on the bus. Booster Club is providing dinner. 
      • If you are not participating in the meet, please let coach V know ASAP.
    • Holiday practice schedule:
      • Dec. 18-21: 3:00-5:15 (pool opens at 2:45)
      • Dec. 22- 100x100 in the water at 1:30 done by 5:30 (pool opens at 1:00) Parents are welcome and encouraged to come cheer at any point. 4:00 arrival would allow for best cheering opportunity.
      • Dec.26-29 and Jan. 2nd: 3:00-5:15 (pool opens at 2:45)
    • Secret Santas have been given and presents are limited to $20.
    • Looking ahead. Practice will continue until Regionals Feb. 3rd. From Feb 5-15, only the state team will participate in practice. All other swimmers will have study hall and dismiss at 3:35. Practice will resume for the entire team (minus seniors if they choose) Feb 26 and continue 3 days per week until the end of school. Times are still TBD but most likely an hour to 1:15 long practices. On non-practice days the team can play water polo, swim laps, or study hall.

    From the Booster Club

    • If you plan to attend the meet at Bartlesville this Tuesday, the P66 pool is located at 411 S. Keeler Ave in downtown Bartlesville. The pool entrance is located on the Plaza on the south side of the Adams Building. Street parking is available around the P66 Pool as well as the Fitness Center parking lot; see the map here. Parking is also available at the library at Silas and Johnstone. It is a quick walk to the pool from this lot. There is NO meet parking at the Hilton Garden Inn.
    • The next Booster Club meeting is this Wednesday, December 13th at 6:30 pm. This will be a virtual meeting, meeting link is: https://meet.google.com/uav-gmqk-rfr
    • The annual holiday party is this Friday night. Items have been added for s'mores. To help make the party a success for your swimmers, please check out how you can help with ALL needed items
    • Sign ups are open for lane counters for the 100x100 on the Meets & Events page . We are in need of 6 individuals to help with lane counting; this is important to track the swimmers' count to ensure they don't over or under swim.
    • The fundraising link has been created for this year's 100 x 100 Challenge. If you are inclined, please share with your networks and help us raise funds for equipment and other team needs. Each swimmer should have received information from Kevin; the donation page can be found here.
      • Our fundraising goal this year is $3,500!
      • The top three fundraisers will earn a prize
    • Last week we asked you to put a hold on a possible reschedule of the Stillwater meet for this Thursday. That meet is NOT going to be rescheduled.
      • Thank you to everyone that donated to the Coaches' Hospitality Table! We got enough to provide the coaches and volunteers with a hot dinner and we will use them at the Hornet Invitational on January 18th
