From the Coaches

Swimmer of the week: Last week’s swimmer of the week was Everly. Everly has continued to evolve as a competitor and team mate this year. The coaches have seen her grow more increasingly serious about practice and competition. She decided she really wants to be on the regionals team and will be swimming the 200 IM in order to attend. She will be one to watch over the next 3 years. 

This week's swimmer of the week is Carter. Joining the team as a sophomore, Carter quickly stood out as a swimmer with some natural talent. He had a great week of practice and is seriously thinking about the upcoming championship meets and his role in them. He has a very positive attitude and can really dance when up on the blocks. 

Practice this week: 

No practice Monday or Tuesday 

Wednesday- normal practice 

Thursday- meet day. Swimmers will stay after school and help set up. Warm up time is 4:00. Pack food. 

Friday- normal practice with a test set 

Our snack stash is down to about a day’s worth. Please consider sending some granola bars or other protein dense, non-perishable snacks up to the pool.

From the Booster Club

• The Hornet Invitational is this week! We are looking forward to honoring our seniors during Thursday's meet.
• Sign ups are open for the three remaining in-season events - 2 pasta parties and our final home meet. For senior night, our goal is for NO senior family to have to volunteer, allowing them the opportunity to watch and enjoy the meet. If you have not yet volunteered this year, please consider doing so on senior night.
• Current needs for volunteers at the Hornet Invitational this Thursday: 1 person at gate/admissions, 1 person at concessions, 1 timer, 1 head timer. WE NEED YOU!
• The Hornet Invitational Pasta Party is this Wednesday at the Lloyd home (1108 Woodward Blvd, Tulsa). It will begin at 6:00; current needs are salad and bread.
• Junior Families - There will be a meeting the week of January 21st to discuss the planning process and needs for the annual banquet. • We have our first restaurant fundraiser coming up on Monday, January 22 4 - 8 pm at Panera on 41st & Yale/Hudson. The attached flyer will need to be provided at time of ordering.
• It is time to be thinking about next year and we need your help! We are looking for 5 people to help serve on the nominating committee for seeking individuals to serve in executive positions for the 2024-2025 year. If you are interested in assisting in this capacity, please reply to this email; also, please consider saying yes if you are asked to serve on the committee. Thank you
