    • Swimmer of the week- Zach was swimmer of the week the week before the Rose Invitational. Zach has been a real asset to the team this year. He has coached many of his teammates to help improve stroke technique and racing skills. He wrote a great set that the team enjoyed swimming the week of Rose. His 100 free race at Rose was one of the most fun to watch of the season and his hard work paid off with a sub 1 minute time. Great job Zach!
    • WOW! What an incredible Regionals meet this weekend. The coaches could not be more proud of the team for the hard work leading up to the meet. It paid off!! Thank you to all the parents and teammates who attended to support the team. We can't wait to see the state team show up and represent Booker T. in two weeks.

    • Practice this week will be for state team only (including alternates) and go until 5:15. The rest of the team will have study hall during 7th hour and be released at 3:35.
    • State prelim meet at Jenks Friday the 16th at 10AM (warm up at 8)
    • State finals meet at Jenks Saturday the 17th at 2PM (warm up at 12)

    • Congratulations to all the swimmers on their regionals meet and to those advancing to the state meet in two weeks!
    • Parents of state team members: A reminder of the parent meeting this evening, Feb 4th at 6:30 pm. Zoom link will be sent separately around 6 pm. It is vital that at least one parent of each swimmer attend as there will be important information shared including deadlines, ticket information, etc.
    • The OSSAA 6A State Meet is Friday and Saturday, February 16 & 17. It is a two day meet - preliminaries on Friday and finals races on Saturday. You need to purchase tickets for both days. Tickets are only being sold online. Click here to go to the OSSAA website; on the right side click on the red box "Click here to buy tickets to OSSAA playoff events". "Click on theSwimming box at the top and you will be taken to the screen to purchase." As of this morning, the tickets for swimming are not yet live. 
    • The next booster club meeting will be this Wednesday, February 7th at 7:00. The Zoom link information is below.

    • WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF 2 PEOPLE to serve on the nominating committee for seeking individuals to serve in executive positions for the 2024-2025 year. 
    • Restaurant Give Back Nights - Unfortunately due to the winter weather, there was not a great showing at last month's Panera Give Back Night. Please put a hold on your calendar for February 19th. We are waiting for final confirmation for a Whataburger Give Back Night that evening.Stephanie Mitchell will receive confirmation later this week.
    • Photographers Needed for Next Season
      This is Kevin's last year as the team photographer. We need a volunteer (or better, several volunteers) who could take photos/videos at team events, and produce the end-of-year video. Kevin is willing to train the new photographers, and assist next year, but cannot be the primary photographer. If you are interested, please contact Kevin directly at [email protected]
