From the Coaches

• Swimmer of the week for regionals week was Adrielle and Sloan.
  • Adrielle joined the team as a sibling and has managed to carve out a spot
    for herself out of her sister's shadow. She has improved significantly in
    her 100 breaststroke and her freestyle times. Her desire to be part of the
    team led her to take on the 200 IM at regionals. She swam it legally and
    well and the coaches are super impressed with her work ethic and attitude.
  • Sloan is our up-and-coming butterflyer. She too, wanted to be part of the
    regionals team and swam the 100 butterfly for the first time in a meet
    setting at regionals. It looked good! Sloan has made major improvements
    this year and is so fun to have on the team. She is always smiling while at
    the same time taking every race seriously.
  • We are lucky to have these two on the team and everyone should be keeping an eye on them as future leaders.
• This week we begin our state taper. State team will be contacted directly
  about schedule.
• The rest of the team will continue to have study hall during 7th hour. If
  your student must miss, they still need to be called out officially as they
  will be counted absent.
• Friday, non-state swimmers will need to go to the cafeteria. My expectation
  is for them to sit quietly and be on best behavior. Gabby will take
  attendance.

•   Join us in wishing the state team good luck as they head over to Jenks for the State Meet Friday and Saturday. If anyone is interested in attending, you may purchase tickets here
• Those who have volunteered to serve on the nominating committee - Thank You! Watch for an email this week which will connect you and discuss the timeline.
• Restaurant Give Back Nights - We do not yet have a confirmation from Whataburger for a give back night (their process is different). Please continue to put a hold on your calendar for February 19th. We are waiting for final confirmation for a Whataburger Give Back Night that evening.
• Photographers Needed for Next Season
  This is Kevin's last year as the team photographer. We need a volunteer (or better, several volunteers) who could take photos/videos at team events, and produce the end-of-year video. Kevin is willing to train the new photographers, and assist next year, but cannot be the primary photographer. If you are interested, please contact Kevin directly at [email protected]
