    BTW Swimmer’s Weekly - February 18, 2024

    ***From the Booster Club***

    From the Coaches

    • I am so proud of our state team. They represented themselves and our school so well over the weekend. They had great swims and showed incredible support for their teammates. Thank you to all of you who came out and cheered and supported the team. Thank you to the parents who played an integral role in making the weekend a success.
    • Swimmer of the week last week was Lily. What a joy it is to have Lily on the team. She has worked really hard this year and was very excited about making state. She has so much spirit and brings a contagious energy to the pool deck. Jenny and I are really proud of you Lily!
    • There will be no practice this week. 7th hour will be study hall/socializing and kids will dismiss at 3:35.

    • Thank you to the following for helping to make the state meet a possibility for the team:
      • Lesley Jennings for serving as state coordinator
      • Stephanie Heck for ordering and delivering lunches Friday and Saturday as well as picking up supper Saturday night
      • Eddie and Stephanie Heck for hosting the team breakfast on Saturday morning and Terri King for assisting with providing food
      • Rasha Eliwa for assisting in chaperoning the team Friday night
      • All the parents, family members and team members who showed up to cheer on the team.
    • Those who have volunteered to serve on the nominating committee - the email to connect you and discuss the timeline has been postponed to this week.
    • Looking Ahead: The final activity for the team each year is the annual float trip which takes place in late May/early June. We are in need of one or two parents to organize that as well as parent volunteers to drive and chaperone. Because it will be a booster club sponsored activity swimmers will not be able to drive and we will need many parents. More details to come but please consider assisting in this endeavor.
    • Photographers Needed for Next Season
This is Kevin's last year as the team photographer. We need a volunteer (or better, several volunteers) who could take photos/videos at team events, and produce the end-of-year video. Kevin is willing to train the new photographers, and assist next year, but cannot be the primary photographer. If you are interested, please contact Kevin directly at [email protected]
