From the Coaches

• Swimmer of the week: Congratulations to Madden for being our first swimmer of the week. It has been awesome to watch him gain confidence in the pool and integrate with the rest of the team. As a new swimmer, he has never given up or taken the easy way out. He is eager to learn and is improving every day. We are happy to celebrate his success and can't wait to watch him race this season. 
• Practice this week: 
  • Tuesday - Friday until 4:30 
  • Coach V will be out of town this week at coaches training in Florida. Coach Addy will be at practice T, Th, Fri and Coach K will be there W, Th, Fri. 
• All swimmers should know their team suit size. Please get your team suit ordered. All versions are up in the team store. https://www.swimoutlet.com/collections/hornets
• Swimmers should try to have all their gear by the end of this week. We are going to start using snorkels more frequently and don't have many loaners. 
• Activity bus will start running on 9/4 and pick up at 5:30. If your student will be riding the activity bus, there will be no supervision from 4:30 to 5:30. I am attaching the routes below. 
• Always have your students reach out to the team if they need a ride. It looks like we have 4 kids that need to get to the 51st and Harvard area.
• Parents can sign up for volunteer roles at meets via Swimtopia starting now! Timer spots will go fast.

  • Thanks all who came to the parent meeting last week and for those that volunteered. Additional information will be coming soon to those that signed up
• We still have two open positions that need to be filled:
  
  1. We have a parent volunteer to take pictures at away meets. We still need someone to volunteer to do it at home meets. This is an important position, please consider stepping up and volunteering to do it.
  2. Vice President - Please consider volunteering to be the vice president on the board. This club can't run without a board.
• We are still collecting swimmer dues ($100/swimmer) and taking payment/orders for swim caps and jackets! Caps are $10 each, jackets are $48.83. We also have some great looking BTW socks! Those are $15/pair. 
  • Please send your payments to our swim team Venmo, @Timothy-Ford-153 or Tim can arrange to collect a check from you (made out to BTW Swim Booster Club). 
  • In the subject/memo line, please indicate what you're paying for and your swimmer's size jacket if buying one of those. 
  • We also will take any snack donations (money preferred) to help keep the swimmers' snack pantry stocked!
