• What a great scrimmage! Thank you to all the parents who made it possible by volunteering your time and energy! And congratulations to all the swimmers on your hard work and the level of professionalism you showed at the first meet of the season. 
• SOW this week was Jarek. Jarek demonstrated exceptional dedication and team spirit this week. He participated in fall break practices and challenged himself by swimming events outside his usual favorites at the meet. Jarek consistently maintains a positive attitude, always wearing a smile on his face. He's one of the team's hardest workers, known for his friendliness and uplifting demeanor. Jarek's presence on the team is a true pleasure.
• Normal practice this week with our scrimmage happening on Thursday. Kids will stay after school until the meet starts, so have them pack plenty of food and snacks. This meet will be longer than the last one. 
• Thanks to the kids who came to Saturday practice and especially to Citlaly, Greg and Sophie for helping clean the pool! I plan to do optional practice again next Saturday from 10-noon. 
• We are starting a flip turn challenge this week and I am looking for prize donations. Anything from gift cards to snacks to swim gear to gag gifts. Think "What would motivate a highschooler?" Just send it to the pool with your swimmer starting this week. 
• We have added concessions to the sign up for the meet and still need almost all the items. We also need one more timer and a head timer as well as a gate and concessions person. Please sign up soon so as not to stress out Coach V!

• Coming to the swim meet right from work? Let us take care of dinner! For only $12, you can reserve a full pizza for you and your family to enjoy at the swim meet! Or, we'll have individual slices for sale for $3 at the concession stand.

• VICE PRESIDENT AND PRESIDENT IN WAITING - the booster team needs one more officer to serve as Vice President for the season and President in Waiting. Working together, we can continue to deliver outstanding team functions for our kids. Without this role, the booster club is hampered in what kinds of experiences it can deliver. Please indicate your interest by emailing Carla, Marc, Tim or Virginia right away.
